Engineering is all we do.

We're software engineers in Seattle who build web and mobile apps, test them, and make sure people with disabilities can use them. Nike, Zillow, and Expedia are three of the 21 companies we've worked with.

The notes on this page are the kind we leave in code reviews. Each one names the code behind the part next to it, so you can check our work.

Most of our work falls into five areas

h1, h2, h3One h1 for the page, an h2 for each section, an h3 for each service. A screen reader's list of headings reads as an outline of the page.

  1. Web applications

We build websites and web applications, including enterprise apps with millions of users. Clients hire us as front-end specialists, or as full-stack engineers who work across a service-based architecture.

astro buildAstro builds this page to plain HTML. Its only JavaScript is Google Analytics, the review button, and the contact form's error check and sending.

  2. Mobile apps

We build apps for iOS and Android. Early in a project we lay out the tradeoffs between time to market, cost, and features, and help you choose.

  3. Testing & QA

Testing starts before anyone writes code. We go through the requirements and design looking for risk, so the software is testable from the first commit. Our developers and testers take part in formal code reviews. Beyond the requirements, we test usability, scalability, performance, and localization. Some of that testing is manual and some runs in automated suites.

axe-core 4.10We ran axe-core against this page on 27 October 2026. It found no violations.

  4. Digital accessibility

We audit sites and apps for compliance and give you a specific list of fixes. We also train your staff and developers to write accessible code. We built this site to WCAG 2.2 AA, so you can test our work right here.

  5. Consulting

We also work as advisers and project leads. You might want a second opinion on a technology recommendation, help interviewing candidates for a new engineering team, someone to run a large technical project, or a risk assessment of legacy code before you build on it.

Before you hire us

What does the first conversation cost?

It's free. We ask what you need, then tell you whether we can help and what the work would look like. If we're the wrong team for the job, we'll say so.

Do you do design?

No. When a project needs visual or UX design, we work alongside your designers or a studio you already trust.

Can you join our existing team?

We can add engineers to your team until the project ships. If you'd rather hand it off, we'll staff the whole build.
